Vacation Bible School in Recreio
|
|
Dear Friend,
The cold winter break in Brazil is the whole month of July, reaching maybe low 50 and high 80 degrees. The wonderful weather is enjoyed every day here.
We took one week of this winter break to do a vacation Bible school in Recreio. To our wonderful amazement, we have found children that have NOT heard about Jesus! Our team had hiked out to the very far end of Recreio to invite new children to the LightHouse for VBS. We found children that are in great physical and emotional need. The most amazing thing is that these kids were hearing the story of Jesus dying for them for the first time!
The whole week we had these 70 new kids to witness to and had a very good response. We will even be taking in a few of them and placing them into the LightHouse to care for. It was very refreshing for our team to have new faces to evangelize. And an honor to tell them about Jesus for the first time.

We are so excited to show you pictures of our new kitchen cabinets. We will soon be having the Papagaio girls in there to learn how to bake!

Mission Trip to Brazil!
